Poppy Coloring Pages: Teach Your Kids About Remembrance Day

** Includes How to PRINT Out Directions (see below)

A good way to teach your kids about something is to have them color a picture while you tell a story. That way they are in a quiet mood to listen, the picture allows them to be creative, but if it's connected to what you're saying it just reaffirms it in their minds, memories and hearts. 

Below are 2 coloring pictures for Remembrance Day: A basic poppy outline (they can add to and enhance) & 
a more complex Poppy Bouquet.

I've also read & discovered that coloring lowers blood pressure. So you might want to try it yourself (even if you're an adult, with or without children)

DIRECTIONS to PRINT out a COLORING PAGE: 
 (several ways - see which is right for you)


 *Click picture to select it 
 1)Look for the little Printer Icon on your Browser Tab OR
 2) Find the word "PRINT" on a drop down menu

(Usually this icon is in top right corner, but could be anywhere on your Internet Page)

* Hover over the picture you want 
* 1)Try a right-click then 
2) from the drop down list click on the word "PRINT"

* 1) click  on this icon (where the RED ARROW is pointing) and 2) click on the word Print):  

NOTE:There are several ways to Print out something but 

basically you are trying to get to the word "Print"  OR 

find the little Icon of a Printer.

From there just read what the screen says.

** don't be afraid to press buttons (the computer usually always asks if you wish to continue & gives you a chance if you've hit the wrong button)

 If you're in the wrong place just hit CANCEL or click on a red X to CLOSE something

DIRECTIONS to PRINT out a COLORING PAGE:   Hover over the picture you want, then look for the little Printer Icon on your Browser Tab OR Try a right-click then from the drop down list click on the word "PRINT" OR click  on this icon (where the RED ARROW is pointing and click on the word Print):

Easy Craft to Give to Procrastinators (Good for Kids)

Do you know a person who always postpones things?

This is a good craft to make for a joke gift.

If they say things like, "I'll do it as soon as I get around to it.", then they will need one of these: A ROUND "TO IT"

NEEDED:

Paper

Printer

Cardboard (small piece)

Scissors

Glue (for paper)

Crayons and ribbon (optional)

DIRECTIONS (makes 2)

1) You print out the picture above (click the right click and hit "PRINT").

2) Once you print it out cut out the circles

3) cut out two pieces of cardboard

4) Glue a "CLOCK" picture onto one side of the round cardboard

5) Glue the "TO IT" to the other side of the cardboard

6) Color it OR

7) Punch a hole in it and tie a ribbon on it.

(Anything you  like)

Then you can give them a "round 'To it' " and they will never have an excuse NOT to accomplish something again.

COOKIE CUTTERS How to Make Your Own

I have discovered a way to make your own COOKIE CUTTERS into any shape you wish. Learned it many years ago and have been using it ever since.
Thought  you might like to know about it. So here's the video.

Project # 1 - ENTRIES

This is the results of the very first project I put up here at LOVE n DOODLES. A simple colouring page of an outline of crayons. You had to print it out and then make it uniquely YOURS.

AMY -who is an artist obviously going through her "blue" period.

ANONYMOUS - Curious that this person drew an extra crayon. Where did it come from? How will it fit in the box?  Obviously embracing the concept of "outside the box".

JASMINE - Well on her way to an artistic career

KYLIE and KAREN - seeing 2 exact pictures together but each person demonstrating their own individuality. (they totally get the idea behind this blog)

LAURA-LEE -  my 2 cents worth, with a Christmas theme.
 I've strung lights along the crayons and plugged them in. (and I'm all about the presents too)
